Michawana Core Values
Bible
We use the Bible as our foundation
Service
We strive to model Christ-like service
Relationships
We develop relationships with Christ and others.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible, in its entirety, is inherently inspired of God and is our only authoritative reference in matters of faith and practice.
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God
We believe in one triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternally pre-existent Son of God – that He became man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe He accomplished our redemption through His death and resurrection. Now exalted to the right hand of God, He makes intercession for us. We believe in the personal, imminent coming of our Lord for His redeemed, and His subsequent return to earth to establish His Kingdom.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. It is He who convicts of sin, regenerates, and seals, indwells, teaches and guides the believer, empowering for victory and service.
We Believe man was created in the image of God, but that in Adam he fell and is lost and depraved by nature.
We Believe eternal life is the gift of God through the death of Christ, and is received by personal faith in Him. Salvation is by grace through faith, plus nothing. Salvation includes reconciliation, justification and regeneration.
We Believe all believers in Christ are members of the true Church, the body of Christ, and should be found active in the fellowship of the local church.
We believe the redeemed will be resurrected to the everlasting presence and enjoyment of God, and the unredeemed will be resurrected to judgment and everlasting punishment.
According to the Bible
The Gospel
Central to everything we do is the GOOD NEWS that God sent His Son to be the Savior! We teach campers the gospel and how to share it using bracelets with these 5 colors, an easy way to remember and share the gospel!
Do you know where you will go when you die? We want to share with you how you can be sure that you are going to Heaven! God sent His Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for your sins. Anyone who accepts Jesus’ gift will NOT perish but will have eternal life! Our greatest joy would be to talk to you about Jesus, whether or not you ever come to Camp Michawana. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like someone to pray for you.
