Blake Johnson (a.k.a. Nitro) has been part of the Michawana family since attending as a mini-camper in 2007. He joined the summer staff as an Events Staffer in 2018 and returned each year with increasing experience and responsibilities. In 2023, Blake became the Assistant Program Director, using his deep familiarity with Camp life to create meaningful experiences for campers, guests, and staff alike. He credits his grandparents, Carm and Lysle Johnson, as inspirations for his calling to camp ministry.

Blake married Annika (a.k.a. Spotlight) in the Camp chapel on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Annika serves alongside him as the Chapel Coordinator, contributing to summer camp and year-round retreats. Outside of Camp, Blake enjoys spending time with family and friends and supporting his wife's music career.
